Olympia complex is located 200 m from Kavatzite beach, near the town of Sozopol. The area is very attractive and fast growing. Nearby are set new facilities, modern hotels and nice restaurants. Just 5 minutes’ walk is to be found the wide beach of Kavatsite, famous for its beauty and seabed of fine sand. The complex borders a forest, which creates a feeling of calm and relaxation.
Sozopol is the oldest city on the Bulgarian Black sea coast. The city is divided into Old and New Town, between which you can find the Sea Garden. Its center (the Old Town) is situated on a small peninsula and is declared a museum. On the territory of Sozopol and in close proximity one can find several protected territories for preservation of animal and plant species.
An interesting discovery was made near Sozopol. Beneath the altar of the destroyed V-th century basilica archaeologists found a small chest (reliquary) containing bone fragments of Saint John the Baptist.
