It is located on both sides of the Osam River, which, coming out of a rocky gorge, makes several curves between the hills "Stratesh", "Hisarya" and "Bash Bunar". The monument of the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski, who chose Lovech as the center of the Bulgarian revolution, proudly stands on the Stratesh hill next to the Hisarya fortress.
